Joseph Sharp is the author of Quitting Crystal Meth: What to Expect & What to Do, the #1 bestselling meth recovery book on Amazon, Living Our Dying and Spiritual Maturity. His writings on spirituality and recovery have been translated into German, Spanish, Chinese, Japanese, Farsi, and Afrikaans. Joseph graduated University of Southern California with a BFA and Vermont College of Fine Arts with an MFA in Creative Writing. As Sharp explains about his latest book, Quitting Crystal Meth, “I wrote the book I wished I’d had when I was trying to quit—a simple, easy ‘how to’ manual that would give me some idea of what to expect and better my chances at quitting Tina forever.” For the person who wants to stop using, this is a no-nonsense how-to manual written by a recovered meth addict for the addict who wants to quit.

Joseph’s worked as a dishwasher, a short order cook, a legal wordprocessor, and served as chaplain for terminally-diagnosed cancer and AIDS patients at Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas, Texas. He also worked in HIV Education in the public school system (grades 5-12) in Santa Fe, NM, where he lived for fifteen years before returning to his first love, Southern California.  A native of Mineola, Texas, he is a longtime survivor of HIV, cancer, and a wicked crystal meth addiction. Joseph lives in Palm Springs, CA and is available for speaking events and private recovery/life coaching.
